Jake Gleason, MPT, OCS graduated from Cal State Long Beach in 2003 with his Masters in Physical Therapy. In 2005 his graduate research project was published in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise. In 2006 Jake earned his certification as an orthopeadic clinical specialist. Jake's 1st love remains in sports and orthopeadic rehab as he continues his career at FreeMotion Physical Therapy.
Lynn Watkins, PT, OCS has 18 years of experience in sports medicine physical therapy. She recently obtained her certification as an OCS (Orthopedic Clinical Specialist), and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Lynn focuses on the rehabilitation of athletes to their respective sports, and specializes in shoulder, knee, ankle, and spine injuries. She enjoys working with athletes of all ages and has a special focus with returning patients to golf, tennis, weightlifting and running.
She received her BS in Kinesiology from USC, and then Physical Therapy degree from University of Colorado, specializing in Orthopedics. Lynn is the physical therapist for JSerra Catholic High School and is a member of the Athletic Training team.
Marni Cota, PT, has 11 years experience in outpatient orthopaedic physical therapy. She is a member of the Americal Physical Therapy Association. Marni recieved her physical therapy degree from California State Univerisity at Long Beach. She also has a degree in Microbiology from Montana State University. At MSU she competed for the NCAA Division I Bobcats cross country and track teams. In September, 2005 she was inducted into the MSU hall of fame.
Using her personal experiences as a competitive runner and her physical therapy knowledge, Marni specializes in treating running related injuries. She also has an extensive background treating lumbar spine, knee and shoulder injuries as well as postural dysfunctions. Marni lives in Dana Point with her husband and two sons. She continues to run and has completed 24 marathons.
